East Germany 1992

In Spring 1992 - the border to East Germany had been opened two and half years earlier - I was working for a local newspaper in Bad Harzburg as a photojournalist in education. On my days off I drove my Golf II to Stapelburg, Osterwieck or Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt. Small towns just a few kilometers across the former East Germany border.
